…Having a Pillow Fight!
After a fun night of Contra dancing, you’re probably ready for some outside fun. And today, there’s a pillow fight. Unbelievably, I had never heard of this annual, worldwide event until I saw it on Facebook.
But for April 3rd, at 2:00 pm, head on over to MrCorkle Place/Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, and take your pillow. Families, students, real estate agents – people from all walks of life will join together to celebrate International Pillow Fight Day.
Quoting from their Event Page “This is your chance to become a hero. Your chance to defend Chapel Hill. Your chance to turn feathers into fury. And your chance to gently bash the brains out of your friends, your enemies, and your town.”
How much fun! It sounds like a cleaner version of a food fight, doesn’t it?
There are a few rules of engagement, but basically you need to show up at quarter til one with your pillow, wait for the bell to finish chiming 1:00, and CHARGE.
The Chapel Hill weather promises to be gorgeous, so come on out and join in the fun!
